I have to agree with them. I think we are headed in the wrong direction in many areas of government. I am not a politician by choice but I believe it is time for me to stand up and work to identify solutions to the many problems we face in our great state.
I have extensive business and leadership experience that I believe can and should be used to bring economic success to Montana. I retired in 2005 as an executive of a multi-billion dollar, international corporation. My 40+ year career in Information Technology enabled me to participate in all aspects of business leadership, nationally and internationally. I have a reputation for working through difficult problems with people of diverse interests and producing results.
I am a fiscal and social conservative. I believe in smaller government and the power of letting the free market work. I believe in profit from hard work, personal responsibility and individual ingenuity. I am a strong believer in local control – the closer we can bring decision making to the voters, the more sensible and effective our programs will be.
I support policies that control wolf populations that are decimating Montana’s elk, moose and other game herds.
I will promote responsible development of Montana’s vast coal, oil, gas, minerals and timber resources.
I will work to repeal costly and environment-damaging policies which force every Montanan to purchase electricity from unreliable, experimental taxpayer-subsidized generation sources.
I oppose efforts to expand federal control of land by expanding boundaries of national parks, monuments and wilderness areas which take away local control and ban human access and productive activity.
I will stand up for the Second Amendment by respecting every law-abiding Montanan’s right to keep and bear arms.
I will defend Montana values, standing firm against assaults on the life of the unborn and our religions liberties.
I will put parents and teachers in charge of education, not ivory-tower burearcrats who see Montana’s kids as numbers to be manipulated.
I oppose federal takeover of healthcare and will work to return healthcare decision-making and funding to Montana.
